Hey Bob! The trip was great, coming home wasn't. Boy was that cold weather a shocker to the system. The boys loved the pool and the ocean was great, it was warmer then the pool. We were upgraded to a Superior Junior Suite, that was nice of them. The room was beautiful. It didn't seem very busy when we first got there but was getting busier when we left. I'll send a few pictures and you're welcome to use them if you'd like, I don't take a lot of the resort though.
So, I think we've decided we're ready to try a new part of Mexico next time we go. Maybe Hutalco or Ixtapa...I'll let you know when we're ready.

We are back and we enjoyed the trip so much.  The Dreams resort was beautiful, the wait staff exceeded our expectations and the food was to die for.  We tried all the resturants and a couple twice.  I want to thank you for the private transfer and the voucher for an excursion.  We tried the Captain Hook show, it was good but not quite our taste.  More party than show, I am sure our age is showing a little, but we had a good time.  We definitely would return to this resort and would highly recommend it to others. Already thinking about our next trip.

The trip was great! The Golden Parnassus was very nice; small, easy to navigate, had a great beach (nicer than the Great Parnassus), and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was generally ok, not great, but for the price it was fine. We did two excursions while there that we booked through the Apple agent at the hotel: Chichen Itza (we chose the nice air-conditioned bus trip) it included a great stop to a Cenote and an excellent local lunch, well worth the price difference between the other Chichen Itza trip and our guides were excellent, Cancun Lines I believe was the company. We also did a snorkeling trip, I can't remember the name of the excursion, or the company, but I think we chose the slightly more expensive option that gave more actual snorkeling time- this was also fantastic and an excellent lunch was served. If you're recommending any of these to others, I would recommend doing Chichen Itza before snorkeling, as we were worn out and sunburnt from the snorkeling. We considered upgrading to an ocean view room, but stayed with our original lagoon side room, which was very nice, as the lagoon side allows sunset views, so we were quite happy with that. The pools at the Golden Parnassus were not as impressive as at the Great Parnassus, but the much nicer beach I think made up for that. Overall, it was a great trip, and we feel like we got an excellent deal, which made it even better. I would definitely return to Cancun again, we could have stayed for another week!
